Years of inmates left behind. All but O'Malley, have become residents. Among the inmates of Cristina is Lexie Grey (Meredith's sister) and among those is Meredith O'Malley. Meredith and Derek are having a purely sexual relationship so Derek gets tired of it. Erika Burke was replaced by Hank. Derek and Mark go back to being friends. Callie is chief resident. Eva returns.
