Power

know, this is the latest novel by Ken Follet and forming part of a planned trilogy "The Century" , by the famous Welsh writer narrate the major events of the twentieth century through a series of family sagas. This first volume takes place during the first quarter of a century and focuses on both becomings of the First World War and the Russian Revolution . Now, there must be clear that this is a historical novel and not a trial and, obviously, these events are so important and so much content, that Follett has no choice but to narrate much higher because , although the novel is extensive, it would be possible to deepen them and tell personal stories while condensing all in one volume. In any case, in my opinion the historical part of the novel is enough to recall some passages, facts and events and even to learn new ones. Moreover, in this sense has caught my attention and I found very original, historic fabric is told primarily from the standpoint of diplomacy and high-level relations between the countries and not from the perspective war. For
put a but, perhaps I would say I lacked a bit of identification with the characters and I do not know well why do not I have come to take all the love that on other occasions they were caught with novels of this magnitude. Anyway, to be fair I have to say it is a minimal hit, since the characters are well made and almost all have a very interesting evolution over the whole plot.
Ultimately, it is a novel comprehensive and highly recommended. And in my opinion, much better than his previous work: "World Without End" , the second part of seen "The Pillars of the Earth" .
